I was on a prefixed journey
A journey called life,
With fixed quota of fuel
My wants were also fixed;
But then I wanted more
For which I opted for job,
Where I sold part of life
In exchange of that more;
Came across many strangers
Who asked me for the lift,
Denied a few, Said yes to few
I made enemies and friends;
One of them dug deep in heart
Became companion for life,
For which I bribed life with smile
The smile that I owed to her.
A journey called life,
With fixed quota of fuel
My wants were also fixed;
But then I wanted more
For which I opted for job,
Where I sold part of life
In exchange of that more;
Came across many strangers
Who asked me for the lift,
Denied a few, Said yes to few
I made enemies and friends;
One of them dug deep in heart
Became companion for life,
For which I bribed life with smile
The smile that I owed to her.
